Recovery going well for Wilco Kelderman

Injury update

After a crash at the Volta Ciclista a Catalunya that resulted in a neck fracture and broken collarbone, Wilco Kelderman is now able to begin training outdoors again. Team Sunweb physician Camiel Aldershof updates after the most recent checks:

“The latest checks at the hospital bring good news for Wilco. His neck vertebrae fracture is stable and his collarbone is healing very well. He can now remove the neck brace and start training outside again. He’s already been on the indoor trainer for a few weeks now, so we’ll make a good plan with our trainers to ensure a gradual transition to the outdoors.”
