Pfeiffer’s father Peter raced for Great Britain and had already introduced his daughter to the sport at the age of four. They lived a few minutes from Herne Hill Velodrome in London. Her brother Etienne races for British Team Wiggins, and both her mother and grandfather love to ride too. Cycling is in the blood.
Pfeiffer has just turned 18 and is a precocious talent, having already won Trofeo Binda Nations Cup, the Healthy Aging Junior Women’s Tour, the Watersley Ladies Challenge, Junior Gent-Wevelgem and Omloop van Borsele, showing her talents as an all-rounder and GC threat.
Signing for Team Sunweb, Pfeiffer is taking on the unenviable task of negotiating life in a professional peloton, taking a giant step up from junior racing, while balancing training and racing commitments alongside her final year of school, where she is studying maths, biology and psychology.
But she believes she is the best place to achieve those dreams:
Open-minded, motivated, passionate and hardworking, Pfeiffer is motivated by winning. Away from cycling and school, she enjoys drawing and loves cooking and baking.
