A new edition to the team in 2020, Mark makes the step up from U23 to the elite peloton. A good climber and GC rider, he has a fourth place finish at the Baby Giro and an 11th place at the Tour de l’Avenir in 2018 on his palmarès. After suffering some bad luck in 2019, Mark is excited at the prospect of 2020.
Hailing from a sporting family in the northwest of England, Mark was originally a cross country and fell runner before an injury at the age of 14 saw him switch focus more to his bike. As a self-proclaimed competitive person, he soon started entering races and cycling more and more and his love for the sport progressed from there.
Sociable and friendly, Mark enjoys going out with his mates on the bike for a few hours but he also loves the feeling of riding solo and “drilling it” during training, giving himself some time with his own thoughts.
Driven by seeing improvements in his numbers or beating a time on one of his local climbs in Girona, Mark wants to continue his development with the team and see what type of rider he progresses into.
