After joining the team for the 2019 season, the former U23 European road race champion seized his opportunity, learning as much as possible in his opening season at WorldTour level.
Towards the end of the year Casper’s season of doing the biggest races would continue as he got the call up to start his first Grand Tour, the Vuelta a España. Like most, he hopes that doing one of the toughest races in the world has a positive effect on his performance in the coming years.
Casper came into the sport almost by accident after borrowing a bike and joining his friend for a training ride with a local club. After that he soon started taking up racing, not looking back since.
An outgoing and talkative person, Casper enjoys the sociable aspect of the sport and being able to go out and train with friends, sharing experiences with them. Looking ahead in his career, Casper is motivated by competing at the biggest races in the world.
