Tech behind the two stripes: Lazer Victor

With the turn of the new year came a new chapter for Team Sunweb. We welcomed on a bundle of new names to our cycling family and with it, a selection of the world’s best equipment partners. We are continuously putting our equipment through vigorous testing in order to ensure optimal performance. Can it be lighter? Can it be more aero? Can we recover faster? We’re proud to work with partners who share our innovative mindset and along with our team of the world’s leading experts, are eager to put their equipment and products to the test in order to make small improvements that make the biggest difference at the top tier of our sport.

Designed to be fast and agile, the Victor helmet from Lazer delivers great aerodynamic performance but features a shorter tail to allow head movement with minimal effect on the drag coefficient.

This is done through the combination of a small, narrow frontal area with a trip wire on the top of the helmet and a short tail at the rear. Consequently, this creates a compact helmet that grants riders the freedom to move their heads without drastically impacting their aerodynamic performance. Furthermore, the sides of the helmet also reduce the wind resistance as they are curved and drop down low enough to cover the ears, with the teardrop shape cutting through the air seamlessly.

The helmet also utilises the Advanced Turnfit System (ATS) which allows for both vertical and horizontal adjustments to create the perfect fit for each rider.
