Juliette Labous raced to fourth place at the French national cyclocross championships today in a wet and muddy Besançon.
After a fast start, Juliette found herself chasing back through the positions to get towards the front of the race following some early splits in the opening two laps. Following a small crash Juliette managed to start to turn her race around and got better and better, with more focus and technique. The gap to the podium was already at nearly a minute with two riders out front fighting for victory and a third holding a strong gap.
She did not give up right to the end and held off the challengers to finish fourth – a good result despite losing time in the most technical sections.
