Due to extreme weather conditions, stage 2 of the Tour of Denmark was cancelled.
The second stage of the Tour of Denmark saw a four rider breakaway go clear in the early stages of the race taking a four minute advantage over the peloton. During the race it was decided that due to the extreme wind and rain conditions, the stage would be shortened by 13 kilometres and not visit the island originally positioned in the stage’s last kilometres. As the race continued the conditions worsened and after a short neutralisation, the race organisers implemented the extreme weather protocol and the race ground to halt with 70 kilometres to go. Stage 2 also sees Sindre Skjøstad Lunke abandon due to sickness.
