After the stage, Team Sunweb coach Marc Reef said: The goal was to protect Wilco and sprint with Michael. On the last lap the bunch exploded and we were there in a bunch of 60 riders with our 5 riders. Wilco came in to help in the last 3km and then Søren did a pull for Michael in the last km, but Michael lost a bit of momentum, 3 riders came in fast from behind and he was knocked back to 4th. On top of this Sam is the now the leader of the young jersey.
