After the race Florian Stork said: “Today was a really good first TTT with the team. We feel like it went well and that we were able to find our rhythem quite fast. We were able to keep the pace high throughout and stuck together throughout. It was a good job by everyone and we look forward to tomorrow’s stage.”

Team Sunweb coach Tom Veelers said: “Today was a really solid TTT from the guys. Technically they were really good and went completely full gas throughout. We started with seven guys which makes their efforts even better, it was a really good performance for their first time trial together. Looking ahead to tomorrow we want to see how we can go in the sprint with Max, make the race really hard and aim to be in the bigger breakaways. After a good performance today the team are super motivated to continue this into tomorrow’s stage.”
