ABOUT Marc Goos

Marc Goos is an experienced member in our Development Team. This 26 year old Dutchman became a professional cyclist at Team LottoNL-Jumbo in 2013, after riding for the Rabobank Continental Team for four years. This all-round rider has tremendous climbing skills and he was one of the most important support riders for Wilco Kelderman during the Giro in 2014. Marc finished 35th during that edition of the Giro, just one week before he had a big crash at the prologue of the Tour of Switzerland. This turned his life upside-down and due to a complicated hip injury Goos had a lengthy road to recovery.

“I want to return to cycling in the development team. After years of recovery, I finally feel like a cyclist again. When you can’t do things that you like, you realize how special they are. This new environment has given me lots of positive energy and motivation. I want to share my experiences with my new team mates, make a comeback to the professionals and enjoy cycling again. Because that’s what I love to do. For the second time, I dream to become a pro again.”

Marc is a dedicated rider with great perseverance. He’s a real team player and puts enormous value on the GC-riders. “I’m satisfied when I play a role in achieving the team goals and I’m willing to work hard and use my talent. Within five years I want to ride the grand tours again and be an important member of this team”.
