Joris Nieuwenhuis finishes 3rd at the CX World Cup in Hoogerheide After a fast world cup race in Hoogerheide, Joris Nieuwenhuis came third after a solid ride. Joris entered the first lap in 2nd position. After the intensive training session in Valkenburg yesterday, he did a strong race. The good conditions of the course meant that it was a fast race. The end result was a strong 3rd place for Joris.
Joris Nieuwenhuis said: “Today was finally a good race again. Just like Zolder, I could find my own rhythm and just ride my own race. In the final, I was in a battle with two belgiums but in the last lap I could make a difference and get that last podium spot. Now I am motivated for next week and I know the form is good.”
Team Sunweb coach Herman Snoeijink said: “After the hard training on the World Championships track in Valkenburg yesterday, Joris did a great job today. With that result, we can look forward to the next weekend.”
